I'm a co-founder and coordinator of the Digital Sovereignty Observatory (DSO), which conducts interdisciplinary research, policy, and advocacy across four dimensions of digital sovereignty: individual, organisational, state, international. It's a collaboration with the University of Virginia, King's College London, Queen Mary University of London, the Graduate Institute of Geneva, Caribou, and the United Nations University – Centre for Policy Research.

I am the Head of Digital and Frontier Technologies at UNU-CPR, where I lead research and policy on AI, digital economies, and frontier technologies, and help shape UN decision-making on emerging technology and governance challenges.

I run my own knowledge management stack. I built a system for information ingestion, indexing, and retrieval — handwritten notes, reading captures, a research library of tens of thousands of items — on hardware I own, queryable by an LLM with citations back to source. Infrastructure as part of the research practice, not just a place to store its output.
